Team "Mountainshop Hörhager Dynafit" wins RISE&FALL 2014

Thrilling suspense, right up to the final metres

"Four people, one team, no mercy." The slogan said it all again for the third RISE&FALL event hosted by Mayrhofen on 13th December 2014. Athletes excelling themselves against the impressive mountainous backdrop of Mayrhofen, cheering spectators offering unwavering and loud support to the athletes - RISE&FALL was all that and more. This unique relay competition with four disciplines; ski touring, paragliding, mountain biking and ski or snowboarding has already achieved cult status amongst athletes and audiences in only its third year.

Weather conditions meant that a few changes had to be made to the race course and disciplines. For this reason, ski tourers, skiers and paragliders had to complete certain sections on foot.

This, however, by no means adversely affected the event. Quite the contrary: the spectators were able to celebrate the success of the worthy winners:"Mountainshop Hörhager Dynafit" team with Christian Hoffmann (ski touring), Patrick Hörhager (paraglide), Jochen Käß (mountain bike) and Roman Rohrmoser (ski) after a thrilling contest. With a total time of 39.40,34 minutes, they beat all the other favourites including last year's winners, Team "Bienenhäusl" who came in second with a total time of 40.55,78, closely followed by Team "Intersport Peter Bad Tölz" (total time41.02,35).

SPECTACULAR BREAKDANCESHOW

After the contest was over it was time for the party to begin with the break dance crew, "Flying Steps". The four-time break dance world champions are currently on a world tour with the Red Bull Flying Bach. The spectators were thrilled by the dancer's spectacular performance.

CULT STATUS
RISE&FALL in Mayrhofen was brought into being by pro ski crosser Christoph Ebenbichler together with the Mayrhofen-Hippach Tourist Board and Mayrhofner Bergbahnen Cable Car Co. Only after two years, the event has already achieved regional and national cult status. Those who love (extreme) sport on the mountains simply can't resist this very special challenge.
